Recap from Workshop, “Synergies between Citizen Science Education”

At the COST workshop Synergies between Citizen Science and Education that took place in Leysin, Switzerland, March 16th-18th, educators, citizen science project leaders, and education researchers from all over Europe came together to share and brainstorm best practices and ideas for harmonizing and building on overlaps between citizen science and education.

During the workshop, ECSA shared on the currently piloting Student Challenge and the potential for scientific storytelling in fostering creative scientific literacy.

Above you will find the slides from the presentation covering the themes of the student challenge: creative visual storytelling for science, inquiry-based learning, and turning scientific documentation (for a classroom audience) into creative science communication (for an external audience).

Keep your eyes peeled for the release of recorded presentations given during the workshop. Get ready to hear innovative and inspirational experiences from teachers, researchers, and citizen science practitioners, working at the intersection of citizen science and education!
