The EU-funded project “European Citizen Science” (ECS) has started! The project, coordinated by ECSA, has a consortium of 12 partners and 9 affiliated entities and will last for four years.
ECS aims to widen and strengthen the European citizen science community through capacity-building and awareness-raising activities. Integral parts of the project will be to create a European citizen science academy, establish a network of 28 ECS Ambassadors, continue to develop the eu-citizen.science platform, support collaborative spaces towards FAIR and open developments, boost inclusion and diversity in citizen science, and engage policy makers and funding agencies among others.
The project kick-off meeting took place online at the beginning of September. We will keep you posted with news and developments! You can follow the project on Twitter @eucitsciproject!
