I study learning in citizen science and hackerspace environments as an Education Scientist; I set up several citizen science projects in my home country (Lithuania), namely DIYbio projects via Technarium hackerspace (Vilnius), and internationally (Tanzania). I write about citizen science as a science journalist. I am Citizen Science Coordinator at the Human Computation Institute (US) and the EyesOnALZ project, and a biohacker at Technarium hackerspace (Lithuania).

Brief description of project:
We are crowdsourcing Alzheimer's research using the models of popular citizen science projects - Stardust@home and EyeWire. With citizen scientist's help, we are hoping to arrive at promising treatment targets in a few years' time. Our first game is Stall Catchers - http://stallcatchers.com/main.
