Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació –The Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (Acronym in Catalan FCRi), is a private organisation with public support, whose aim is to set an example in the field of research, acting as an interface between the public and academic sector and the private, productive and business sectors. Their main areas of action are: the social, scientific and productive spheres, with the objective of further building a country model based on competition in knowledge and scientific talent. In the social sphere, the FCRi carry out actions such as communication, dissemination and promotion of research and innovation, so that they may become characteristic features of our culture. In the field of science, they contribute towards adding value to all of the available research assets. Within the scope of productivity they encourage entrepreneurship and innovative vocations in the business world, whilst collaborating in the creation of an innovation ecosystem between public and private agents.
How are you performing research on Citizen Science, taking part in Citizen Science activities and/or supporting Citizen Science?: 
At the moment our organisation has given economical support to concrete initiatives carried out by external small organisations which collaborate with us. Also the FCRi implemented several initivatives engaging nonscientists in decision-making about policy issues that have technical or scientific components in the framework of European projects like PACITA, CIMULACT and the European Students Science Parliament In parallel, we have contributed to the engagement of research scientists in the democratic and policy process in the PACITA project and also by our participation in the creation and full membership of a science and technological assessment unit in the Catalan Parliament called CAPCIT
