06-08 Sept. 2020 | Due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency underway in Italy, Europe and worldwide, we have decided to postpone the conference to September 6-8 (same location).
ECSA will co-host a workshop in Berlin next March, with the title ‘Creating a citizens’ information pack on ethical and legal issues around ICTs: what should be included?’. The purpose of this event is to collect ideas from citizens and citizen scientists about the major problems they face in this field, and what is needed to overcome these.
Changes to the EU’s regulations regarding ICT-based research and innovation are creating a new scenario, one to which stakeholders, policymakers and citizens must adapt – and as quickly as possible. This is likely to be challenging, however. Enter PANELFIT. This project – ‘Participatory Approaches to a New Ethical and Legal Framework for ICT’ – will help different stakeholders adapt to and understand these new regulations.
On 5th October 2017, eutema and the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA), in cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, Directorate B, Unit B7, organized a European Policy Round Table on Citizen Science in the framework of the Doing-it-Together science project (DITOs).
