Agri-food
The Agri-food working group aims to strengthen the community of scientists and citizen science practitioners devoted to learning, promoting and implementing citizen science as an approach in agriculture, and more generally, in food systems. We foster dialogue, exchange of experiences and collaboration in the design and implementation of future citizen science in all aspects of food and agriculture.

Activity plan
- We share information through our mailing list, including calls for participation, partnerships or publications, job ads, relevant literature, interesting events, etc.
- We hold regular online working group meetings on Zoom to discuss joint activities, learn more about each other’s work and shape how we work together; the agenda / minutes for the meetings are here.
- We document our activities in this shared folder.
- We organize in-person workshops for exchanging experience and creating resources together.
- We’re mapping agri-food CS initiatives and will produce two literature reviews on agri-food CS projects in Europe: one with a focus on seed and another on policies relevant to neglected and under-utilised crops. To contribute, please join the mailing list and ask how you can participate.
- We also plan to explore and discuss what the 10 ECSA principles of citizen science mean when applied to citizen science agri-food projects.

How to get involved
- Subscribe to our mailing list to receive information about working group activities and content posted by other people.
- Share a short description of your project or work through the mailing list, as well as material you think will be relevant to people who work in Agri-Food citizen science and community-based research, mostly in Europe.
- Join one of our online meetings for updates on group projects and to learn what other people are working on.
- Give a short presentation (usually 15 minutes, with 15 minutes discussion) in an online meeting on your work, or on a question that bugs you; please contact the chairs beforehand.
- Join one of our in-person workshops.
- Contribute to the mapping and literature review efforts.
- Organise your own activity – online or offline – as part of the working group. You can share your idea through the mailing list and/or get in touch with the chairs to get started.
